Japan's Taka Higashino moved to the States in 2006 to focus full-time on his freestyle career. Jeremy “Twitch” Stenberg quickly took him under his wing and Taka now resides with Jeremy and his family in Temecula, CA.
A total unknown a few years ago, Taka now has the benefit of riding and training with one of the best teams in the business, the Metal Mulisha. It has reaped it's rewards as he has steadily risen up the contest standings.
He has made his name in both Red Bull and Dew Tour competitions, becoming Champion of the latter in 2010. He is a fantastic addition to the line up at the Monster Energy Extreme Freestylers Tour, a truly Global celebration of all things freestyle!
